All the details on my favorite artificial flowers that look real plus ideas for where to use them in your home!
While I love fresh flowers, realistically there’s no way I can keep them throughout our home year-round so I’m all about finding good artificial flowers to throw into the mix! Faux flowers can be really hit or miss – some are obvious fakes, others look good from a distance but not so great close up, and then there are a few gems that look so much like the real thing that you’ve got to touch them to know for sure.
Today I’m touring you around my house to round up all of the artificial flowers I have that pass the “fake test”. Come on in…. (post includes affiliate links – full disclosure statement available {here})
Before we step inside, let’s take a peek at the spring wreath on our front door that’s made with artificial flowers, greenery, and lemons:
So pretty and I love that it comes with the cute striped ribbon bow! I bought it in the 24″ size {here} but you can also find other sizes and variations of it {here}.
Our dining room is one of the two rooms you see immediately when you enter our home so I like to have flowers or some other simple centerpiece on our dining room table. For spring, I added some artificial tulips to two small wood vases on the table – I was really impressed when the tulips arrived because they are SO realistic:
I found the pink tulips {here} and the white tulips {here} (between the two vases I have 30 pink (1 pack) and 40 white (2 packs) of tulips). The wood vases are old Target finds that are no longer available but {these white 6″ ceramic vases} are a similar size and would work well for this too!
I needed a LOT of branches to fill these two sizable vases and was looking at spending hundreds of dollars with most other fauxs before I found these that are so much more reasonably priced. They’re not as full as other more expensive fauxs but for the price I’m really happy with them! I have ten stems in each vase:
As with most fauxs, when they arrived they were extremely smooshed! Be sure to take some time to separate all of the branches in different directions and fluff them out – it makes all the difference! They’re quite tall so for my vase I cut off a few inches from the bottom of each stem to get them to the right height. A good rule of thumb when you have tall branches is to cut or bend them so that the bottom leaves or flowers are about 1-2″ above the top of the vase.
On our living room coffee table right next to the fireplace I have several of {these artificial eucalyptus stems} in {this white ribbed vase}:
They look quite realistic, even close up! For a more budget friendly find {these eucalyptus branches} are extremely well priced – based on reviews they fall into the “look great from a distance but not as good close up” category which might work for you depending on where you’re using them.
And last but not least, in the corner of our living room I have {this set of five faux greenery branches} in {this whitewashed bamboo vase} sitting on the round end table that I refinished a few years back. These are listed as being eucalyptus branches but I have idea why – they don’t look like eucalyptus at all. But they are nice fauxs if you are looking for some large willowy, leafy branches like I was!

And remember how I talked about the importance of fluffing them up and separating the branches out? Here’s why – this is what they looked like out of the box…
Yikes! These babies needed a little love but about two minutes of fluffing and they were good to go!
Moving on to our guest room, I recently added two sets of {these faux cherry blossom branches} to the basket on top of our armoire for spring:
They’re super full and gorgeous and the blossoms look so realistic!
Just know that the bottom of the stems looks kinda fake so I wouldn’t use them in a clear glass vase – in a basket like this or a ceramic vase they’re perfect! The price on the ones I bought has crept up recently – also check out {these cherry blossoms branches} that look very similar and are a slightly lower price right now.
It’s my faux fiddle leaf fig tree that’s in the corner of this space – love it! It’s {this 6.9′ faux fiddle leaf fig tree} in {this woven basket}:
I looked at lots of faux fiddle leaf figs before choosing this one. The trunk of it looks a bit fake up close which was the case with all of the faux fiddles I saw but the leaves look super realistic!
