21 Jul.,2023

If you’re looking for the best tape for big boobs, you’ve come to the right place. Before we dive into the details, I do want to make sure we’re all on the same page here. I am coming from the POV of a woman with a bra size 34JJ/36J UK.

I know everyone’s definitions of “large breasts” can differ. It’s also important to take everything I share with a grain of salt because what works for one person, might not work for you. But of course we can hope it does! With all that said, let’s dive into lift tape for big boobs.

If you just want to quickly shop, Brassy Bra is available online at Nordstrom, HSN and Bare Necessities.

The Best Boob Lift Tape for Large Breasted Women

In my experience, Brassy Bra is the best tape for big boobs. I’ve also tried a few other boob tape brands, and of course there are dozens of boob tape brands I’ve yet to try. Before you try any boob tape brand, I would suggest you do a test to make sure your skin isn’t sensitive to the adhesive used.

Brassy Bra is what I used on my wedding day because I have the most trust in it! We got married in Cabo, so to say I was a sweaty mess would be an understatement. The tape stayed up all day throughout the sweat, the dancing, etc. The downside for me was that the tape was occasionally noticeable with my dress. I didn’t use a strong enough double sided tape to hold my dress down, it caved under the wetness of my sweat.

I use the bra/teardrop shape tape for the majority of the support. Note, I am a 36J UK bra size and use the DD/DDD option. I also secure the boob with a few strips strategically placed. Honestly, the fact that Brassy Bra has pre cut tape makes it so much easier to apply. But, you can also cut the tape to work for you if needed!

If you use a boob tape brand that comes in a roll, be sure to cut pieces small enough. The tape is really stretchy, so if you have too long of pieces you end up losing most of the support.

Don’t just take my word for it! As with any product, it’s great to hear thoughts from multiple people. Here are a few sources I found: Lolo Russel, Busty Diaries, The Strategist + The Curvy Fashionista.

How To Apply Brassy Bra Tape

First thing you need to do is test the adhesive on your skin. If all goes well, get to taping! And remember, practice makes perfect.

Make sure your skin is clean and dry before you apply the breast adhesive. You want to make sure your surface is set up for success. First thing you’ll do is put on the nipple cover. Then you’ll want to prep the tape by peeling off part of the back side (using Brassy Bra for this example since that is what I use).

Make sure you are using the correct side (there is a left and right tape) and lift up the boob with one hand, tape in the other hand. I connect the tape to the middle of my under boob, pay attention to where you place it as you’ll want to replicate on the other breast. Pat/rub down the exposed tape to heat active the adhesive and make sure it’s secure to your skin.

Next you are going to want to take off the second half of the backing, and lift it towards the top of your breast. Connect this part of the boob tape and heat activate like you did before by rubbing/patting it down.

Repeat on the other side.

If this is enough support for you, you’re all set. If you want just a bit more security or lift, grab the adhesive strips. These will partially pull apart in the same way the second skin tape did.

Typically, you take them towards your underarm, but it will vary based on how the weight of boobs is distributed and what you’re wearing. Be sure to heat up the strips, too!

What Is Boob Tape?

Boob tape is a body friendly adhesive to give your breasts lift. Boob tape comes in a variety of colors and styles. But, the ultimate goal remains the same: give your ladies a boost! There is breast tape that comes in rolls in rolls, pre-cut strips and specific shapes. Most boob tape is in various shades of tan, brown and black.

Is Lift Tape The Same As Boob Tape?

You might hear boob tape referred to as lift tape. It all depends on who’s talking, what the brand calls their tape, etc. Remember that we are using the tape to lift the boobs up. However, don’t get confused by lift tape in reference to faces…Yeah, that’s a thing apparently.

Can I Use Tape With Big Boobs?

Yes, you can use lift tape for big boobs! Generally speaking, you’ll need to use either more tape to work with the weight of your boobs. You could also use a boob tape that was created with supporting large breasts in mind.

How Well Does Lift Tape Work on Large Breasts?

It can vary from person to person. I’ve found that it not only depends on the tape you’re using, but how it’s applied. Taping your breasts truly is an art. How you tape your boobs of course vary based on what you’re wearing and the tape needs to be used to not show under your clothes.

Benefits Of Using Lift Tape For Big Boobs

If you are wearing something that doesn’t allow you to wear a bra, lift tape can truly save the day. Here are some examples of how you can do the tape depending on what your top/dress is like.

Another benefit of using lift tape is that it travels well! It doesn’t take up much space and gets thrown away when you’re done with it.

What Are The Negatives To Boob Tape For Large Breasts?

Do keep in mind that even though it’s safe to use on your body, it’s still tape. The adhesive can be tough to pull off your body. I think it helps to hold down your skin while you rip off the tape. The type of tape you use can also be a factor.

Another down side of boob tape is that it’s one time use…. If you use tape often, the cost can add up quickly.

What Alternatives Are There To Lift Tape For Big Boobs?

If you are wearing an outfit that allows you to wear a strapless bra, I love the Elomi strapless bra. If that outfit has a low back, this is something that comes in handy! This low back bra converter can also be worn with a regular bra. This is great if your outfit allows for normal straps/front coverage, but has a low back.

This might seem obvious to some, but maybe not to others… A lot of traditional wire bras, like my favorite from Elomi, come with a J hook to create a racerback back with the straps.

Personally I haven’t had any luck with bras of this kind, but there are backless bras that stick to your breast tissue and silicon bra lifts. If a brand comes out with a backless adhesive bra that supports a higher breast tissue volume, I’ll be the first in line to try them out… But so far the ones I have tried truly mean D cup, C cup, etc… It was a no go for my Js.

If you’re a bride to be, I would also talk to your alteration expert to see if adding in boning, cups, etc, would be an alternative to tape. I did wear a Brassy Bra on my wedding day and while it helped up wonderfully, it was exposed under my dress at times. Merp.

Lift Tape Can Be a Hit or Miss When You Have a Large Chest

There are plenty of things I’ve tried, including recommendations for lift tape for big boobs, that were total busts (pun intended) for me. Lots of factors come into play with all products we try, but especially when it comes to something like boob tape for large breasts.

So while I can’t promise this was the answer to what you’re looking for, I can promise that everything I shared is as honest as possible from my own experience. I hope you find something that works for you. And that this post helped make things a little easier on ya!
